Inductive speed sensoris a device that detects the presence of a magnetic element close to the end of the sensor

This device is perfect for all types of vehicles. This is universal and particularly precise equipment. It can work with a large number of magnetic elements, which translates into high calibration precision.

The inductive speed sensor is the device you need

The device detects the presence of a magnetic element close to the end of the sensor. The sensor is mounted near the element that reflects the vehicle’s movement. Most often, it is mounted near the wheel hub, detecting the movement of a magnetic element placed on the rotating hub. It can be mounted near the drive shaft by detecting the movement of an additional magnetic element attached to the shaft. Each time the metal element approaches the end of the sensor, it is detected by the sensor, which sends an electrical impulse to the tripmeter. The iTrip speed sensor is a device ideal for all types of vehicles. This is universal and precise equipment.

This sensor fits all iTrip tripmeters.

Advantages of the magnetic sensor

  • simple assembly

Magnetic sensor detects

  • metal parts of the car that rotate while driving

Limitations of the inductive sensor

  • low operating frequency
  • small gap between the sensor and the detectable element

The iTrip speed sensor is a functional device that ensures the highest accuracy

Application examples

  • Inductive sensor mounted in the wheel hub detecting wheel studs

Cooperating elements

  • any metal element whose movement reflects the vehicle’s speed
